Pasupati Bridge / Jalan Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja
Pasupati Bridge/Jalan Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja is one of the famous icons of Bandung City.
This bridge has been in operation since 2005 and is taken from the 2 names of the roads that are connected, namely Pasteur and Surapati (Pasupati). But since Tuesday. 1/3/2022 by the Governor of West Java M. Ridwan Kamil This road was inaugurated by the name of the Pasteur-Surapati (Pasupati) flyover to Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja. Changing the name of the flyover as a form of appreciation for Prof. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja who is considered to have increased the area of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia by 2.5 times through the concept of Archipelagic Insight.
Apart from being an icon of the city of Bandung, this bridge is also the 2nd longest bridge in Indonesia after the Suramadu Bridge in Madura City. Pasupati Bridge has a length of about 2.8 kilometers and a width of about 21.53 meters.
The uniqueness of this bridge lies in the middle, namely there is a pillar that is high enough and is supported by 19 cable stayed. In addition, this bridge also uses Look Up Device (LUD) technology. This technology is a special earthquake-resistant device made in France. This bridge is the first bridge in Indonesia to use LUD technology, making it the first earthquake-resistant bridge in Indonesia.
