WEST JAVA PEOPLE'S STRUGGLE MONUMENT

The West Java People's Struggle Monument is located at Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 48, Bandung City. The location is opposite Gedung Sate and in front of the Padjadjaran University (Unpad) Campus, Bandung City. The monument stands on a land area of ​​± 72,040 m² and a building area of ​​± 2,143 m². and the model of the building, in the form of pointed bamboo combined with a modern architectural style. The monument was inaugurated by the Governor of West Java, R. Nuriana on August 23, 1995.

The West Java People's Struggle Monument has a collection of only 7 dioramas in the permanent exhibition space, and is not proportional to the area of ​​the permanent exhibition room so that many permanent exhibition areas are still empty and have not been filled with collections. There is also a collection of dioramas in the permanent exhibition space, namely:

1. Diorama of Sultan Agung Tirtayasa's Struggle with the People Against Dutch Colonialism in 1658
2. Diorama of People's Participation in Road Construction in Sumedang
3. Diorama of the 1946 Linggarjati Negotiations
4. Diorama Bandung Ocean of Fire March 24, 1946
5. Diorama Long Mach Siliwangi January 1949
6. Diorama of the Asian-African Conference in Bandung 1955
7. Diorama of the Pagar Betis Operation (Operation Brata Yuda) 1962.

In addition, there are reliefs on the front wall of Monju. This relief tells the history of the struggle of the people of West Java starting from the kingdom period, the movement period, the independence period, and the period of defending independence against the Dutch, British and Japanese occupations.

In addition, Monju is also equipped with an audiovisual room and a library room which will be used as a means of providing information on the history of the struggle of the people of West Java for visitors. However, the information material through audiovisual is still not sufficient. Monju also has a large yard, prayer room, and comfortable toilets to provide services for visitors.
