Hirka is a shoe manufacturer founded in 2018 by Nurman Frieka Ramdhany. The idea of a shoe made from the skin of chicken claws came from the father who started from research.
In addition to producing shoes from the skin of chicken feet, Hirka also produces leather from goats and cows.
The shoe models produced by Hirka include loafers, sneakers, and custom.
Making chicken claw shoes depends on the level of difficulty of the shoe model.
It takes 10 days to dry the skin of chicken feet. After that, it goes through 3 processes, upper, compiling, and lasting.
This process takes approximately 1 day or more to make one pair of shoes.
According to Hirka official staff, Jaja, in a month where he works can produce as many as 150 pairs of shoes.
The selling price of chicken claw leather sneakers is around Rp. 500,000. Meanwhile, chicken feet skin loafers are around Rp. 2 million.
The price for custom shoes depends on the model, size, and material requested by the consumer.
Hirka Official sells its products through online sales on several digital platforms. Its products have penetrated the Japanese and Malaysian markets.
“Our target market is actually from young people to adults. Because the shoes that we present can cover these two target markets,” he said.
