Currently, the Bandung City Government is undergoing a detailed audit from the BPK regarding the 2022 financial statements.

The Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna said, the WTP opinion four times in a row was a positive achievement and could be a strong capital for the Bandung City Government in facing a detailed BPK audit.

"The city government will always try to respond to follow up on matters that are in the recommendation notes from the BPK," said Ema during the BPK RI's Detailed Examination Entry Meeting of the 2022 LKPD at the Bandung City Hall, Monday 20 March 2023.

Ema said that the fifth WTP title was a necessity for the Bandung City Government, and was in line with the 2018-2023 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan.

He also asked all OPDs to work together to present the fifth consecutive WTP title in the city of Bandung.

"We have followed up as much as possible, either completing the recommendations for 2021, or the interim notes for the 2022 budget. Hopefully we can meet BPK's audit standards," he said.

Meanwhile, BPK West Java Representative Technical Controller, Ayu Rizki said, BPK will conduct a detailed inspection for 35 working days from March 20 to April 29 2023.

He considered that the Bandung City Government had responded very well to the various recommendations made by the BPK during the interim audit.

"Alhamdulillah, the response was very good. Hopefully it will get better," he said.

Ayu said the examination was not only related to opinion but there had to be a correlation between opinion and people's welfare and that influenced opinion.

Later, the purpose of a detailed examination is the conformity of financial reports with government accounting standards (SAP); adequacy of disclosure; compliance with laws and regulations and the effectiveness of the internal control system (SPI). (rob)*
