Controlling billboards is in line with the mandate of Bandung City Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 2 of 2017 concerning Implementation of Billboards.

The Head of the Bandung City Satpol PP Trantibum Section, Yayan Ruyandi said, there were at least 23 billboard points along Jalan Dago.

In more detail, Yayan explained, of the 23 billboard points, 6 points were gone, leaving 17 points. Of the remaining 17 points, 3 points do not have permits and 1 point has been disciplined.

"So we will discipline 2 points tonight, so that all unauthorized billboards are orderly," explained Yayan.

Meanwhile, the remaining 14 billboards on Jalan Dago have expired license status and are awaiting the extension process.

"We will postpone it until the permit is issued," explained Yayan.

In the same place, Satpol PP Tibum Section Head for the City of Bandung, Satriadi, stated that the Satpol PP is also targeting controlling billboards at 3 points in the area: Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda, Jalan Soekarno Hatta, and Jalan Braga.

The Advertising Wasdal Team will also record billboards in the city of Bandung which will be disciplined.

"So for areas that went viral yesterday, on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, we have indeed targeted to put things in order next week. Currently, according to our plan, we will order it in the Dago area first," he explained.

Even though it is constrained by various things such as the potential for traffic jams in the billboard area which is regulated, Satriadi ensures that controlling billboards is one of the commitments that is carried out twice a month.

"Of course the hope is that the city of Bandung is free from visual waste," he concluded. (ray)**
