This is not Argentina U-17's first match against a South American team. Previously in the last 16, Argentina U-17 beat Venezuela U-17 with a landslide score of 5-0.

A big win that led Argentina U-17 to meet Brazil U-17. Now, Argentina U-17 is on a revenge mission after defeat in the 2023 U-17 World Cup qualifying final in the Conmebol zone.

Argentina U-17 coach, Diego Placente, said that he had not forgotten the previous match. However, he confirmed that La Albiceleste would show something different in the Top 8 match.

"Yes, we meet another South American team again. Brazil is of course a very good team, they beat us before. So I'm really looking forward to the score in this match," he said.

What is different from the previous meeting, Placente said that now his team has more playing experience. From the various matches they have played up to this round, he believes that the players have learned a lot down to the details.

"Of course we don't want to repeat the same mistakes. This match will certainly be a good match for the players, a different experience," said Placente, who was once a pillar of German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

"We will definitely prepare the players, but back on the field it all depends on the players how they implement the game and how they maximize their individual qualities. But, I guarantee they will play a good match later," he said.

The former Argentina national team player said that his team had extraordinary young talent. Combined with their speed and agility in dribbling the ball to produce goals.

On the front line there is Agustin Ruberto who has scored five goals in four matches, then Santiago Lope and Ian Subiabre who have performed well to maintain the movement of La Albiceleste's midfield.

"We believe in the quality of our own players. We have also prepared the construction for the match and will implement it," added Placente.

So will the senior national team's victory over Brazil in the 2026 World Cup qualifying round be a trigger for the players? Placente said he was certainly happy with the result, and he said the players saw the match. However, he said that this did not affect their future preparations in any way.

"We've been together for two years, all the players know how far their quality is. Of course the players see how the senior team does it. But it won't affect our game. Of course, to be able to win the players need to work hard first. Because I'm sure Brazil is also very I want to win," he said.
