Lontong Kari Kebon Karet, 58 Years Old Makes Culinary Lovers' Tongues Wiggle

Lontong Kari Kebon Karet has been around since 1996. Until now, the lontong curry is still authentic. This culinary delight has also become a favorite destination for local residents, tourists, celebrities and officials.

"Lontong Kari Kebon Karet was first opened by my parents in 1966. Lontong Kari has gone through the changing times and remains loyal to its recipe and quality," admitted the owner of Lontong Kari, Aldi to the Bandung City Public Relations Team, Wednesday, May 8 2024 .

Currently, Lontong Kari Kebon Karet is owned by the fourth of six children. According to Aldi, this shop continues to provide the best quality ingredients and friendly service to customers.

"We always maintain quality and are open about the ingredients we use," said Aldi.

With a price that is slightly different from its competitors, Lontong Kari Kebon Karet stands out thanks to the thickness of its coconut milk and the unique taste of lontong rice. The stall's menu has also evolved from just lontong curry and ice mix to include curry noodles and soto.

"Our hope is to see customer satisfaction and pass on this tradition to future generations," said Aldi.

Even though it experiences limited infrastructure challenges, such as long queues on weekends, this stall can still serve 200-300 portions per day and up to double that on weekends.

"Hopefully this stall will continue to exist and be loved by the people of Bandung, passing on the delicious lontong curry to future generations without significant changes in taste and quality," he hoped.
