Get to know Widya N. Firdansyah, the creator of the HJKB 214 logo

This logo was chosen through a competition held by the Culture and Tourism Service (Disbudpar) from 8-21 May 2024.

When met after the logo launch, Widya admitted that he did not expect that the logo he had thought of would be chosen as the official HJKB logo this year.

"I didn't expect to be chosen as the official HJKB logo because there are lots of good logos. If we look at Disbudpar's Instagram, there are lots of good logos there. So I also didn't expect to be finally chosen by the jury," he said.

Widya explained that the logo he created represented the spirit of collaboration to create an advanced and sustainable Bandung.

"I took the word spirit there, so I thought of Bandung Sea of Fire. Finally the shape of fire appeared. At the same time because we also brought shapes in the form of trees and leaves," he said.

"Because the theme is Sustainable Progress. So with the trees and leaves we hope it will be sustainable," he added.

For information, Widya logo specialist graduated from the Mathematics Department of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and now works at PT. LEN Industri (Persero) as Analyst.

He hopes that at the age of 214, the city of Bandung can continue to progress, thereby making the community prosperous and happy.

"The hope for the city of Bandung, according to its theme, will continue to progress, be sustainable until finally the community becomes prosperous and happy," he said.

Previously, Widya had also won various design competitions, including 1st Winner 50 years Gunung Madu Plantations (2024), 1st Winner Unofficial logo 537 years Gresik Regency (2024) and Top 3 Logo 1274 years Salatiga Regency (2024) as well as various other awards. (rob)**
