This was revealed when the Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana together with the relevant Regional Apparatus, reviewed the construction of the GGM, which is located on Jalan Merdeka, Bandung City, Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

The building consists of 4 floors, there are various facilities such as a hall, photo studio room, exhibition room, classroom, meeting room, cafe, prayer room, to a guesthouse.

The construction of the GGM, which began in 2018, was stopped at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic because the budget had to be refocused. However, at the end of 2021 it was completed.

Yana said that GGM can be activated, but not 100 percent yet, because the furniture is not yet available.

According to him, there will be many activities at GGM, because its function as a center for youth activities and a creative center, the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) can also carry out its activities at GGM.

"There are quite a number of activities, especially I encourage it because this is an arena for the younger generation, so KNPI can also activate its activities here," he said.

Regarding furniture that is not yet available, Yana said that she would budget for the 2022 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

"Hopefully it can be budgeted in the changes next year," he said.

Yana hopes that GGM, which has historical value, can be used by youth in Bandung City, so that the Bandung City Government also activates this GGM.

"Quite a lot of great figures were born from this place, so it is natural for the City Government to build this place as a center for youth activities," he said. (agg)***
