KP3 is a national program initiated by the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of continuing education for voters as cadres who play an active role in conveying electoral information to the wider community.

Yana also appreciated the steps taken by the Bandung City Election Commission, especially in the context of the success of the implementation of the democratic party which is held every five years by forming a village that cares about elections and elections.

Because according to him, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) and the Bandung City KPU have the same obligation to hold elections with quality and integrity.

Therefore, Yana asked all regional officials, both sub-district heads and village heads in Bandung City to assist the Bandung City KPU in the electoral socialization process, including KP3 activities.

"Of course, this socialization must be closer to the voters because of course the socialization of the implementation of the general election and this simultaneous election requires the participation of the community as best as possible and as much as possible," said Yana.

Yana ensured that the Bandung City Government would fully assist and support all forms of processes and stages in the context of holding elections and elections in 2024.

“Once again, the Bandung City Government, God willing, will fully assist. So hopefully in the 2024 simultaneous elections there will be quality and integrity," he said.

In the same place, the Chairman of the KPU Bandung City, Suharti said, the election or election is actually the intention of all citizens, especially residents of the City of Bandung. So that the participation and active role of all elements of the city of Bandung is very much needed in the success of elections and elections.

“To encourage this active role, a process of information disclosure and voter education is needed. Because voter education is one of the important elements in democracy that will give birth to independent voters," he said.

"And the locus for the city of Bandung is the Antapani Tengah sub-district. How the people in the kelurahan, especially in Central Antapani, are more literate regarding democracy and are stronger towards democracy. So they are ready to play an active role on all fronts, not only as smart voters but also as part of the election organizers," he added.

Suharti further explained, to instill maturity and public awareness about the basic concepts of democracy and basic rights of the community as citizens in addition to other knowledge related to the stages of elections and elections, the Bandung City Election Commission also provides a democratic literacy angle.

"Providing books related to election information to be managed and utilized for the benefit of the people in Central Antapani and its surroundings," he explained.

Suharti hopes that the entire community can adopt and be able to initiate the KP3 program for the realization of the people of Bandung City who understand democracy.

Meanwhile, the Head of Antapani Sub-district, Rahmawati Mulia, said that the existence of a democratic literacy corner in the Central Antapani sub-district is a form of embodiment of the vision and mission of the City of Bandung, namely Excellence, Comfort, Prosperity and Religion.

"Alhamdulillah, in collaboration with the Bandung City KPU, maybe this Antapani is one of the new beginnings for the literacy corner. This will be used as a place to exchange information for community leaders, especially young people as novice voters to improve the quality of voters and elections,” he said. (wil)**
