The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, has instructed the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) to more intensively patrol a number of areas.

This is a preventive measure against disturbances in public security and order.

"Together, we make Bandung safe and comfortable. I have asked the Satpol PP for more intense patrols," Yana said on Jalan Cianjur Friday, January 7, 2022.

According to him, more intense patrols can provide residents with a sense of security and comfort.

This, Yana continued, can reduce the chances of law violators to take action.

"Patrols can reduce the chance of things going wrong," he said.

Currently, the Bandung Satpol PP has placed a tent post for members on duty so that they can monitor activities around them and respond more quickly to community complaints.

Then, the next step is to bring order to street vendors (PKL) who sell behind the shelter, Jalan Alun-alun Timur, Jalan Kepatihan, and the homeless (bums) around Bandung Square.

Regarding buskers who are suspected of forcing money to be asked, they will be punished with push-ups if something similar happens again. Likewise with viral coffee sellers who allegedly forced tourists to buy.

These steps are an effort to maintain public order and public peace, especially in the Alun-alun area.

Through the Instagram account @satpolppbdg, the Bandung City Satpol PP advised that if you saw a violation that could disrupt public order, immediately file a complaint with the officers in the field.

The Satpol PP tent post in the Bandung Square area is located at Mako Jalan Dalem Kaum (behind the Grand Mosque), or to the Police Post next to the Indra Building. This needs to be done so that it can be handled immediately by the officers.(ray/yan)**
