Dedeh: Hatur Nuhun Pemkot Bandung

Dedeh Rosidah, a resident of RW 10, Sindangjaya Sub-district, Mandalajati District, couldn't hide her happiness. The reason is, now the house he occupies is getting help for home renovations.

Dedeh is a resident who received assistance for the construction of uninhabitable houses (rutilahu) by the Bandung City Government (Pemkot).

"Thank you, the Bandung City Government and all agencies involved in building my house," he said, Thursday, January 20, 2022.

He admitted that he received a home renovation assistance program after registering his residence to the RT/RW then to the Kelurahan.

"Thank God my house was chosen to be used as the construction of Rutilahu," he said.

Dedeh explained that he lived with his two children and his four grandchildren who would later occupy the house.

In the same place, the Head of Mandalajat Sub-district, Yana Rusmulyana, explained that symbolically there was a house that was used as Rutilahu in Sindang Jaya.

He explained that the construction of the house construction process was carried out for 2 weeks assisted by local residents, with a land area of 28.8 square meters.

"Rutilahu's budget was obtained from Baznas in the amount of Rp. 17 million and Rp. 15 million from purely community self-help," he said.

He explained that the construction of the rutilahu has reached 75 percent and is targeted for completion by the end of January.

On that occasion, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana also had time to review the construction site. He also briefly reviewed the creation of an Organic Tower Garden (OTG) in RW 06, Alms Gotong Royong activities, and Cooperatives in a place of worship in RW 06.

Yana also had time to provide basic necessities for residents of RW 10 Sindang Jaya, for 2 elderly people and Dedeh Rosidah in the form of staple food and worship equipment.

It should be noted that the creation of OTG at SAE Carnation RW 06 Sindang Jaya was initiated by Slamet Sutikno as the Chair of RW 06 and the Chairman of the Baitussalam Berkah Berdaya Syariah Consumer Cooperative.

He explained, OTG is a tool made from used paint buckets and paralon as the main ingredients. In the bucket, household waste is placed, which is then turned into organic fertilizer. Around the bucket is equipped with fertilizer-absorbing planting media.

"Hopefully it can motivate residents to care about the environment, and care about managing waste," he said.

"In every resident's house there is already OTG, and later it will be in an open space, and later it will be in RT 01," he added.

Slamet explained, the Mutual Assistance Alms (SGR) activity began in May 2020. (sya)**
