Bandung City residents who are just about to open a business or are already running a small business, can try to join the event organized by Salapak Mikroshop, Sunday, February 27, 2022 tomorrow.

Starting from 10.00 - 11.30 WIB, the participants will receive training on how to process pastries, puddings, and other cakes with professional chefs.

Until now, from the target of 30 participants, there have been 20 people who have registered to take part in the Cooking Class agenda.

So, what if we can't or don't have any experience in cooking desserts?

Calm down, the Head of the Salapak Mikroshop Manager, Tita Wulansari said, this event can be attended by all levels, whether experienced or not at all.

"It's okay, you can join. We are open (open) to all people, but of course those who are related to friends who have or are just about to open a business in the culinary field," said Tita.

At the Cooking Class later, Tita explained, the scheme will be more on talk shows and cooking demonstrations. So, the participants only need to listen and prepare questions if they are still confused about the method or ingredients of cooking.

"The cooking class here is actually a demo. We are not a private class. So, participants will listen more and can ask their respective chefs in more detail," he explained.

This event is actually a series of Salapak's Weekend Market activities which are regularly held every week.

According to Tita, the purpose of this activity is to help promote the products of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bandung City.

There are various business stalls being sold in the Weekend Market series. Starting from the culinary business, fashion, to furniture.

"Yesterday we held a talk show with the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) regarding halal legalization for MSMEs. It turns out that halal is very complex, not only in the culinary field, yes, but fashion and furniture materials must be halal," he explained.

Tita hopes that the regular activities organized by Salapak will be able to increase the capacity of MSMEs in the city of Bandung.

This is because the function of Salapak itself is indeed as a space for information and collaboration to increase promotion and awareness of MSME products in the City of Bandung.

"This Salapak is a facility from the Bandung City Government, under the guidance of the Bandung City MSME Cooperative Service as a means of marketing services for MSME products," said Tita.

For residents of Bandung City who need consultation related to their business or business, Tita added, Salapak is very open to help provide input and solutions.

Especially for entrepreneurs who still don't have a product or packaging design label, Salapak offers collaboration to help solve these problems.

"We also often have workshop classes on marketing, such as marketing distribution, how to calculate HPP, creating a reseller network, creating digital marketing promotional content, and product photos," he added.

Tita said that in the future, she and the management team at Salapak have also planned other agendas. Of course, it is adjusted to the needs of MSMEs or Bandung residents currently related to entrepreneurship.

One of the new agendas that will be released for the expert or intermediate class is barista training.

"For intermediate or expert, we will also have barista training for friends who are concerned about the coffee business. Because there's hype right now, right now the coffee business," he said.

To date, more than 100 SMEs in Bandung have become members of Salapak Mikroshop. Consists of the fashion business, culinary variety, and craft.

"To support all business lines, Salapak will try to collaborate with Regional Work Units (SKPD) or other collaborators. In the future we will make activities based on our demand," he said.
