Bandung City Baznas Distributes Aid to 127 Beneficiaries

Bandung City Baznas again provided assistance to beneficiaries in the main program of Bandung City Baznas. The Bandung City National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) again provided assistance to beneficiaries in the main program of the Bandung City Baznas at the Al Ukhuwwah Mosque Hall, Bandung City, Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Head of Distribution Division of Bandung City Baznas, Ahmad Husen said, there were 127 beneficiaries who would receive assistance.

A total of 127 beneficiaries are the total beneficiaries of the four Bandung City Baznas programs in February 2022.

"Alhamdulillah, today, Bandung City Baznas distributed assistance from zakat funds collected from muzakki to beneficiaries. There are a total of 127 beneficiaries from the four Bandung City Baznas programs," he said.

Husen added that the details of the programs that were distributed were, among others, the smart bandung program for education fee assistance given to 68 people, the healthy bandung program, medical expenses assistance being given to 7 people.

Meanwhile, medical debt assistance was given to 21 people, as well as the Bandung care program, providing rental debt assistance to 10 people, basic living assistance to 20 beneficiaries.

"Baznas has also provided assistance for the Uninhabitable House Program (Rutilahu) to 6 houses of the beneficiaries," he said.

"All beneficiaries have gone through the process of being verified and surveyed by the Bandung City Baznas so that they are deemed worthy of receiving assistance," he added.

In the same place, the Head of Bandung City Baznas, Akhmad Rozikin said, the amount of assistance received by beneficiaries was relatively different, according to the request for needs of each beneficiary.

"The amount of assistance varies according to the request, which is relatively standard for the Rutilahu program, adjusted to the results of the survey in the field, if the level of severity is high, it is taken at the maximum limit of Rp. 17.5 million," said Akhmad.

Bandung City Baznas routinely distributes assistance to all community members who come from Bandung City and have a Certificate of Disability (SKTM). While the other conditions according to the needs of each assistance program taken.

"The beneficiary communities are very grateful for this assistance because some of their problems have been resolved. Starting from the assistance for education, health, to basic living expenses," he said.

Akhmad hopes that with the distribution of consumptive assistance by the Bandung City Baznas to beneficiaries, their economic activities can be productive. So that it can change the economic situation of the people in need.

"If people need capital assistance, they can apply to Baznas. Because this capital assistance is productive, it can help alleviate economic problems, if done properly," he said.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries of the routine assistance, Widaningsih, couldn't hold back her tears when she received the aid.

"Grateful, very grateful for this assistance. Mother's house is occupied by children and grandchildren, there are 11 people," said Widaningsih, a resident of RT 02 RW 06, Ancol Village, Regol District.

The Head of the Social Welfare Section of Ancol Sub-district, Regol District, Iwan Gustiana was also present to accompany Widaningsih in the process of providing routine assistance to the Bandung City Baznas.

"We will use the assistance provided later to renovate the house from Mrs. Widaningsih, which is already 100% collapsed. The construction has been directly surveyed by Baznas," said Iwan.

For information, the Bandung City Baznas has a plan to make a scholarship program in September. The plan, the program will be given to 50 beneficiaries.

The scholarship program is specifically for students who are already studying in semester 5. The goal is that when the scholarship recipients have graduated, they will be connected to companies that can accommodate them, in order to raise the family economy. (asy)**
