Class A Hospitals in Bandung City Increase

There is an increase in the number of Class A hospitals (RS) in the city of Bandung. This time, Santosa Bandung Hospital, which is located on Jalan Kopo, has become a Class A Hospital.

In addition to this hospital, there are also several hospitals that have become class A such as Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Dr Salamun Hospital and several other hospitals.

For this, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, expressed his gratitude and congratulations to Santosa Kopo Hospital, which has become a class A hospital in the city of Bandung.

"Congratulations and success on upgrading the status of Santosa Hospital Bandung Kopo Hospital to a class A hospital," he said at Santosa Kopo Hospital, Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

"Alhamdulillah, with this status increase, Bandung City has six type A hospitals, including Cicendo Hospital, Dr Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Dr M. Salamun Hospital, Santosa Hospital Bandung Central, Unpad Hospital Bandung and Santosa Hospital Bandung Kopo Hospital," he added.

With increasing access to these services, it is easier for people to get health services.

"Hopefully, with the addition of this type A hospital, it will make it easier for Bandung City residents to get access to health services with the best facilities and services," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Health Office, Ahyani Raksanagara, explained that health services are the most important service at this time. The health care system can function properly if it has a mechanism.

"Hopefully this (hospital) status increase will become a more professional hospital service for both Bandung residents and residents of other regions who need health services," said Ahyani.

He said health is a citizen's right. So that the recovery must be carried out in a fair, equitable and standardized manner.

"The development of the health sector is one of the priorities for the development of the city of Bandung, whose essence is to ensure that people feel comfortable, remain productive and contribute to the process of social change," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude for the achievement of class A by RS Santosa Kopo. This makes the hospital to be able to provide services to the community.

"I am grateful that Santosa Kopo Hospital can achieve class A standards from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. This means that this hospital can provide specialist and sub-specialist medical services extensively. As well as being the highest referral hospital," he said.

Appreciation was also given by the Director General of Health Services at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Abdul Kadir.

"Santosa Kopo Hospital is extraordinary. We are not able to carry out all these health responsibilities, so collaboration and synergy with the private sector continue to be carried out," he said.

"There are 3,148 hospitals in Indonesia. 46 percent of the private sector are growing fast," he said.

On the same occasion, the President Director of Santosa Kopo Hospital, Rachim Dinata Marsidi explained, the hospital has 8 floors and 1 basement and an integrated cancer service center building.

"Has a public health service facility with superior oncology or cancer services and a trauma center. Equipped with the latest equipment and supported by professional medical personnel," he said.

The hospital also has various polyclinics to other health care facilities such as emergency rooms, isolation rooms, nursery rooms, intensive care rooms such as ICU, HCU, NICU and PICU.
