Buruan Sae Is a Form of Appreciation of Food Security Insights of the Deceased Mayor

Buruan SAE (Sehat/healthy, Alami/natural, and Ekonomis/economical) as an advancement from the concept of urban farming and food security in Bandung City is now added with the formalization of Buruan SAE Mang Oded in Lingkar Selatan Ward, Lengkong Sub-district, Bandung City.

 

Buruan SAE is a form of appreciation and award to the deceased Mayor of Bandung City, Oded M. Danial, who was the initiator of Buruan SAE.

 

“We really felt the outset of Buruan SAE, his initiations, supports, and spirit of his existence were really felt by us. For that reason, as a form of appreciation to him,” said the Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Agency (DKPP) of Bandung City, Gin Gin Ginanjar, on the launching of Buruan SAE Mang Oded, Friday, 1 April 2022.

 

While his tears dropping, Gin Gin said the programs initiated by Mang Oded became national attention, even international.

 

“One of his passions that keeps improving Buruan SAE. Currently, there are 400 groups of Buruan SAE in Bandung City. This year, we will create 40-60 new groups of Buruan SAE. There are also training and mentoring,” he said.

 

Additionally, Ibu Buruan SAE, who was also the wife of the deceased Mang Oded, Siti Muntamah, said that Buruan SAE had become a distinct feature of Bandung City, along with the Kang Pisman (Kurangi/reduce, Pisahkan/isolate, and Manfaatkan sampah/utilize waste) that made Bandung City become a green city.

 

“Buruan SAE roaring in the world presents a movement that makes Bandung City become a green city. Bandung is crowded with Buruan SAE,” she said.

 

Umi, a friendly nickname of Siti Muntamah, thanked for the appreciation in the form of Buruan SAE.

 

“Thank you on the behalf of my family. Its existence promotes inspirations,” she said.

 

Such appreciation also came from the Head of DPRD of Bandung City, Tedy Rusmana.

 

“Thank you and the highest award for the collaboration built with the community and all stakeholders making Buruan SAE known by the world,” he said.

 

A modern city, according to Tedy, was a city concerned with its environment.

 

“Modern City: its keyword is environment. Bandung must be a green city and pass on to children and grandchildren and become a beautiful and comfortable city,” he said.

 

Buruan SAE is located in RW 08 Salak Street No 2 Pusenkav, Lingkar Selatan Ward, Lengkong Sub-distrcit, Bandung City. There is a land of 2000 metre square that will be planted with vegetables and the harvests will be used to meet everyone’s needs. (rob)**
