The third (booster) vaccine target in Bandung City for Eid Mubarak is almost reached. Currently, in approaching Eid Mubarak, Bandung City has vaccinated 27% of its people with a booster, out of 30% as the target.

It was stated by the Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana. He was optimistic that the third dose vaccination target in Bandung City could be achieved before Eid Mubarak.

“Alhamdulillah. The first dose vaccination has reached 113%, 103% for the second dose, and 27 for the third dose,” he said when he surveyed the mass vaccination held by BIN of West Java collaborating with the Health Agency of Bandung City and the DKM of Raya Bandung Mosque, Tuesday night, 12 April 2022.

The vaccination was held after tarawih salat. The Bandung City Government and BIN of West Java prepared 200 doses for this vaccination.

As a requirement for mudik (homecoming), Yana hoped that the 30% target could be achieved immediately.

He also reminded Bandung City residents of staying alert and complying with health protocols after Covid-19 in Bandung City showed an indication of declining.

“Comply with health protocols, at least wear a mask. And don’t forget to get vaccinated,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of BIN of West Java, Brigjen TNI Deddy Agus Purwanto, said that the event was to help West Java residents who wanted to get a third vaccine dose, particularly for mudik purposes.

BIN of West Java also held vaccinations in other city mosques in West Java.

“It is expected to select people who want to be vaccinated. Not only in Bandung City, but also in other cities across West Java in mosques after tarawih salat,” he said. (ray)**
