In reviving the spirit over values in the Asian-African Conference (KAA) within people, this year, KAA Museum (MKAA) once again holds several events as the 67th anniversary of KAA momentum.

One of them is by holding a flag hoisting and lowering ceremony of countries in Asia and Africa. This event is held both online and offline, as the Covid-19 pandemic in Bandung City is still underway although it had decreased.

In the event, MKAA will impose complying with health protocols according to the regulations, such as physical distancing, sink provision used to wash hands and hand sanitizer, body temperature checking, and imposing wearing a mask during the event.

For Bandung residents who want to participate in the event, the flag hoisting ceremony will be held on Monday, 18 April 2022 at 08.00-10.00 WIB.

Whereas the flag lowering ceremony will be held on Sunday, 24 April 2022 at 15.30-17.00 WIB.

Both events can be viewed virtually on the YouTube account of MKAA: @AsiAfricaMuseum.

The online flag hoisting ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the West Java Province Government, the Bandung City Government, Branch Kwartir of Pramuka of Bandung City, the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia.

Moreover, other participants include the TNI (Indonesian Armed Forces), the witnesses of KAA 1955, and partners of KAA Museum that will be around 50 people. Additionally, the ambassadors of friendly countries will be invited online.

It is worth noting that KAA was held from 18-24 April 1955 in Bandung City. Therefore, KAA is also known as Konferensi Bandung.

At that time, KAA was attended by 29 leaders of Asian and African countries. They were the representatives of half of the global population.

KAA can be considered as one of Indonesian heritages for world peace. The conference became the basis of the foundation of Non-Aligned Movement in 1961.

It was because one of the purposes of KAA was to fight colonialism and withhold the cold war between the United States and Soviet Union at that time.
