The case of the spread of Mouth and Nail Disease (PMK) in livestock in Bandung is still increasing. This time, 8 sample cows taken from Bandung Kulon and Cibiru sub-districts were confirmed positive after undergoing the test.

Head of the Food and Agriculture Security Agency (DKPP) of Bandung City, Gin Gin Ginanjar, said that the positive confirmation of the 8 samples made the spread of PMK in Bandung City recorded in 3 sub-districts, after previously 5 cows in Babakan Ciparay were confirmed positive for PMK.

"The first time there was an incident in Babakan Ciparay and it came out 5 positive. Then there were reports in Bandung Kulon and Cisurupan and we did a sample test last Friday. It turns out that each of the four samples turned out to be positive," he said.

"Although 4 samples were taken and were positive, so the suspected position became infected. So the number is 69 in Cibiru, in Babakan Ciparay 50, and 18 in Bandung Kulon, it is indicated to be positive," explained Gin Gin.

He conveyed, one of 5 cows that were confirmed positive for PMK in Babakan Ciparay died due to a decreased appetite.

In addition, cows that were positive for PMK in the Cibiru area began to show symptoms of decreased appetite.

"As an effort to handle, before being indicated positive when the suspected cow was quarantined and intensive treatment," said Gin Gin.

In addition, regarding the stock before Eid al-Adha, Gin Gin ensured, it was still sufficient because the demand had not yet increased.
