Realizing Excellent Public Service, Regional Secretary Encourages SKPD to Increase Innovation

The Regional Secretary for the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, encourages regional and sub-district officials to innovate by utilizing information technology.

This is to support efforts to improve public services for the realization of excellent service.

"We ask all regional officials to improve public service services based on innovation and convenience," said Ema during a working meeting with regional heads and sub-district heads at Bandung City Hall, Monday, June 13, 2022.

Excellent public service innovation, said Ema, is part of the vision and mission of the Mayor of Bandung.

"After all, it is a spur to improve service quality. In the vision of excellence and the second mission, presenting good governance and clear and clean government," he said.

Ema said that collaboration between cities, especially in Indonesia, could increase the acceleration of public services. So it can be speedy and cost-effective.

"Many innovations in the city of Bandung have been replicated by other regions. This is a collaboration that can accelerate public services," he said.

He hopes that regional heads and sub-district heads can produce various public service innovations that are diverse and have beneficial values ​​for the community.

"This also affects the Community Satisfaction Index," said Ema.

Currently, the City of Bandung will take part in the 2022 West Java Innovation Competition.

For that, said Ema, the participation of the City of Bandung can be a momentum to bring innovation to build excellent public services.

"We want to make improvements, after the West Java Innovation Competition is the first step to take part at the national level," he said.

To note, there have been 14 public service innovations that have been included and received appreciation from the central government through the Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP or Sinovik).

Among them, Minilab Food Security from DKPP, Salaman Application from Disdukcapil, Patrakomala from Disbudpar and Bi Eha and Mang Udin from Disdukcapil. (rob)**
