The City Government (Pemkot) of Bandung and the Regency Government (Pemkab) of West Bandung agreed to cooperate in the field of Tourism and Creative Economy.

This is done as an effort to accelerate economic recovery and increase Regional Original Income (PAD).

In the tourism sector, the two regional heads agreed to collaborate in developing the Cigadung-Lembang creative tourism route.

This creative tourist path will pass through the Hero's Cemetery (Cigadung), Rosid's studio (Cigadung), Komar's batik house (Cigadung), boscha, Sarae hills (psdeumanah), begonia gardens (Lembang), and Lembang milk tofu.

For this, the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said, this collaboration was a follow-up to the MoU that had been carried out between the Bandung City Government and the West Bandung Regency Government in 2021 ago.

"In the near future, we will cooperate in tourism potential in each region. In us (Bandung City Government) in the Cigadung area and in West Bandung Regency in the Lembang Maribaya area," Yana said during a Cooperation Meeting between the Bandung City Government and the West Bandung Regency Government in Bandung City Hall, Tuesday 14 June 2022.

He hopes that, in the near future, a further cooperation agreement between the two regional governments will be concluded.

"Hopefully with this collaboration, there will be an increase in PAD in each region," said Yana.

In line with Yana, the Acting Regent of West Bandung, Hengky Kurniawan, said that the collaboration was expected to increase West Bandung Regency's PAD.

"In the tourism sector, we fell 60 percent, we welcome this cooperation in the tourism sector," he said.

In addition to tourism, he said his party would cooperate in the marketing of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

"We have the Dekranasda gallery in Ikea, so we welcome MSMEs from Bandung City to be marketed in the Dekranasda gallery in Ikea and that has a good turnover potential," said Hengky. (rob)**
