A total of 17 paintings and 16 works of art are exhibited at the Cultural Center Foundation Gallery, Jalan Naripan, Bandung City, 22-30 June 2022.

The exhibition, titled Archipelago, showcased the work of students from the Indonesian Cultural Arts Institute (ISBI) Bandung.

This exhibition aims to educate the public in bridging art (especially in the field of Nusantara Tradition) from artists who can then create learning interactions.

One of the works that was quite captivating at the exhibition was Yeni's painting Nyangku.

Nyangku is a tradition from the Ciamis area. Namely, the purification ceremony for heirlooms at Situ Lengkong Panjalu.
In the painting, it appears that people flocked to board boats as a tribute to King Galuh as well as a form of heritage preservation.

Against the backdrop of a set of blue clouds that fill the canvas, Yeni managed to make a surrealist painting filled with fantasy elements, still full of meaning with beautiful packaging.

One of the visitors, Sasa admitted that he really appreciated the works of art exhibited at the Cultural Center Gallery.

"Apart from being a place for Bandung artists to show their teeth, this exhibition is also very useful for inspiring us aspiring artists," he admitted.

For residents who are traveling in the Asia-Africa area of Bandung City, it is not wrong to also take the time to stop by the exhibition location.

It is only a few hundred meters from Gedung Merdeka, Jalan Asia Afrika. (Alya/Azzahra)**
