The control was marked by the cutting of the aerial cable by the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, Friday, August 5, 2022.

"Today we cut the cable that runs along the Cianjur road that passes through the Public Service Mall," said Ema.

Ema said this control was an effort to increase the aesthetic value and comfort at the Public Service Mall.

"The target this Sunday is clean and this supports the aesthetic aspect of the Public Service Mall," he said.

Ema said that the Bandung City Government through the Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) PT. BII is completing the control of aerial cables in 13 roads and hundreds of other roads.

"In the future, we will go to Riau Street and PT BII will implement it, according to Perwal 363 of 2018 concerning the assignment of PT BII. It has been included in the GMS and is now in the auction process. They will carry out enforcement on 13 roads and hundreds of other roads," he said.

Ema hopes that the city of Bandung will soon be free from the clutter of aerial cables so that it can increase the aesthetic value of the city.

"We hope that the city of Bandung will be free from aerial cables which can increase the aesthetic value of the city," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Communications and Information Office, Yayan Ahmad Brilyana, admitted that he had cut 31 FO cables in front of the MPP.

"We have cut 31 FO cables. We have informed Apjatel (Association of Telecommunication Network Operators) that we will cut the FO cables along Jalan Cianjur, mainly which crosses MPP because this mall is a public arena to get services, so it must look beautiful and neat," said Yayan.

Yayan emphasized that he would continue to control illegal aerial cables.

"We will continue to control if there are stubborn operators,"

Yayan said the Bandung City Government had completed the connection process through ducting and crossing along Jalan Dago.

For this reason, Yayan appealed to all providers who have not made the connection to immediately connect the underground cable (ducting).

"The last day is to be able to make connections below because dacting and crossing below have been completed at 4 points," he said.

"Please the providers to use the crossing and ducting because we will make cuts," he added. (rob)*
