Head of the Bandung City Covid-19 Daily Task Force (Satgas), Asep Gufron said, to pursue the remaining 50 percent target by the end of August, each kelurahan is advised to vaccinate as many as 54 targets every day.

"As of August 4, the booster vaccination has reached 3,426 people. I am optimistic that we can achieve the 50 percent target by the end of August," said Asep on Friday, August 5, 2022.

Asep said that the addition of active confirmed cases in the city of Bandung for seven days from 29 July to 4 August 2022 touched 124 cases and 697 recovered cases.

"The highest daily cases were on August 2, 2022, with 172 people. The district with the most active confirmed cases occurred in Cicendo with 75 cases," he explained.

The positivity rate as of August 4, 2022 was recorded at 5.48 percent, which is above the WHO safe limit of 5 percent. However, Asep appealed to all levels of society to anticipate a spike in cases that could occur at any time.

"I also appeal to schools not to carry out extra-curricular activities (extras) first. Even if there are extracurricular activities that are still running, they must refer to the prokes," he appealed.

Meanwhile, the Acting Head of the Bandung City Health Office (Dinkes), Anhar Hadian, said that starting July 29, 2022, the administration of booster vaccines 2 or IV doses for health human resources can be started.

"The target for health human resources is 24,709 people. Considering the availability of vaccines and the expiration date of the vaccine, which is August 11, 2022," said Anhar.

The current allocation of the vaccine with the Moderna type reaches 1,107 doses and has been distributed to 38 hospitals in the city of Bandung.

"We have also proposed adding booster 2 vaccines for health human resources," he said.

Anhar admitted that last week the acceleration of the third dose of vaccine had slowed down because the puskesmas staff were focusing on the National Child Immunization Month (BIAN).

However, his party will refocus on booster vaccination this week by adding more vaccination days and schedules at the puskesmas.

"We will also carry out mass vaccines at vaccination outlets, one of which is in Ciwalk and TSM. The results of every time we carry out vaccines are at least 200 targets per location," he explained.

Responding to this, the Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Office, Elly Wasliah said, all malls in the city of Bandung strongly support the implementation of this vaccination. Overall, the implementation of the booster at the Bandung City mall has targeted 5,270 people.

"Kings will also hold vaccinations, but we don't know how many will be vaccinated. Retail stores in all Borma branches have also carried out booster vaccinations in collaboration with the Polsek and local health centers," said Elly.

In addition, regarding the return of pilgrims, Head of Hajj and Umrah Organizers at the Ministry of Religion of the City of Bandung, Boy Hari Novian, said that 100 percent of the pilgrims were negative for Covid-19 after the Swab in the Hajj hostel.

"A total of 808 people from the two groups were 100 percent negative for Covid-19," said Boy.

He added, for the return of the group 33 will arrive on August 7th. Meanwhile, batch 42 will arrive on August 12.

"The number of crew 33 is 138 people, while group 42 is 221 people. For the return, it is not collected in one place. We divide the return according to the groups of each KBIH congregation," he added. (din)**
