But do you know if there is a cool place in the Gedung Sate area? Yes, one of them is the Indonesian Postal Museum which is located on Jalan Cilaki No. 73 or on the right side of Gedung Sate.

This historic museum has been around since the Dutch East Indies era, to be precise in 1933. Initially this museum was named the Telegraph and Telephone Post (PTT).

If you go to the Pos Indonesia museum, visitors can see the world's first stamps, and can also see the first stamps launched in Indonesia.

Not only a collection of stamps, the Indonesian Postal Museum has a collection of letter scales, information about the development of the post in Indonesia, a collection of paintings depicting the history of Pos Indonesia.

Including a collection of old letters and a lot of information about figures who played a role in the history of postal development in the world and Indonesia.

“In my opinion, the most unique museum collections are the scales and printing tools. Because from these items, we can see and imagine how the ancients weighed the items or letters they wanted to send,” said Aldi, one of the museum visitors.

This museum is perfect for visiting with family, friends or couples.

So for those who are really interested in visiting, the Indonesian Postal Museum is open Monday - Saturday at 09.00 - 16.00 WIB. While on Saturday it is open at 09.00-13.00 WIB. (salma)**
