This was revealed by the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana while attending the Five Creative Party of the Indonesian Independence Day edition held by the Alumni Association of State Senior High School (SMAN) 5 Bandung at Taman Musik Centrum, Sunday, August 21, 2022.
"Still in an atmosphere of independence commemoration, make the spirit of the fighters for us also to fight against Covid-19," said Yana.
Yana said the level of participation of the citizens of Bandung in the effort to fight Covid-19 was very good. This is evidenced by the vaccination rate in the city of Bandung which continues to increase.
"The Covid-19 pandemic situation in the city of Bandung is relatively under control, this is thanks to the support of community participation in vaccination," he said.
He hopes that collaboration and participation of various elements of society will continue to be established in order to accelerate the recovery process after the Covid-19 pandemic. Starting from the economy, education, and other activities.
"Today IKA SMA 5 is holding an Independence Day commemoration with various activities, this is very positive," he said.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of the Alumni Association (IKA) of SMAN 5 Bandung, Alan Nurichsan admitted that he would continue to support the vaccinations that the government continues to promote.
He said that IKA SMA 5 has various communities, one of which is a doctor community and has 300 doctors.
"We are also the first high school IKA to hold a vaccination, which has received direct praise from the Minister of Health," he said.
In addition, he said, IKA SMA 5 has various activities that support government programs in post-pandemic recoveries, such as social activities, a celebration of SMEs, Action Five, and others.
