This right was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna while reviewing the Bandung Square Area, Friday, August 26, 2022.

"Many aspirations have arisen regarding the disorder on Jalan Kepatihan that flows west and east. I have ordered the Transportation Service (Dishub) for a 30-meter area to enter and exit Jalan Kepatihan to be freed, both parking areas and street vendors," said Ema.

Ema admitted that he would also control the illegal parking area in the area of Jalan Dewi Sartika. This is to facilitate traffic in the area.

"In addition to the Dalem Kaum parking area, the parking area in the Dewi Sartika area will also be brought under control. However, I ask that only one row be used for the parking area. We will delete the ones that are usually used for 2-3 rows," he said.

Ema also asked the Satpol PP to immediately curb illegal street vendors along Jalan Dalem Kaum, Bandung.

"Including, we see that in the area within the tribe, they enter the red zone where there is no street vendor activity, we see that there are still many street vendors. That's not allowed," he said.

Ema explained, in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2011, that locations that enter the red zone are not allowed to have street vendors.

The street vendors should have occupied the location in the basement of the Great Mosque of Bandung, in accordance with the revitalization carried out.

"There is a solution for them to enter the basement (Bandung Grand Mosque), this is just a matter of consistency," he said.

For this reason, he asked all stakeholders, including the community, to continue to educate and publish so that the order and beauty of the city can be maintained.

"So it's not only the officials who carry it out, but also the community. If you follow the rules, everything can be orderly," he said

"There is no spirit of the government to turn off the economic activities of the community but it must be in accordance with existing regulations, we must prioritize the interests of the wider community," he added. (rob)**
