This inauguration event was coupled with the peak of the Bandung Lautan Merah Putih People's Party which contained KUKM bazaar activities and creative and creative products, Scrooge Festival & Awards, blood donors, booster vaccinations, and art performances.

Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said that the youth of Bandung City can show their sense of nationalism through the red and white symbol.

"Finally this year we can all show a sense of nationalism. It's not just about the color of the flag, but we give the meaning that red and white is a sense of nationalism," said Yana.

He also appreciated the Bandung City KNPI which has been able to carry out the consolidation of its organization with all KNPI at the sub-district level.

Because, for him, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) cannot solve problems on its own, especially in the field of youth.

Thus, the support of KNPI and all youth organizations is needed to solve problems and fulfill the development of youth in the city of Bandung.

"There are many extraordinary things that we can learn by organizing. Moreover, the KNPI is very heterogeneous. Of course there will be more knowledge that we can learn and apply," he said.

Responding to this, the Chairman of the Bandung City KNPI, Edwin Gaddafi, hopes that the inauguration of a new board this year can create synergy among young people in the region to develop the city of Bandung.

"Youth is a strategic and critical partner to build a much better Bandung," said Edwin.

Some steps that can be optimized are activating the physical infrastructure of the Bandung City Government such as Youth Space and Co Working Space.

The use of this facility is expected to be able to open a space of inclusiveness or openness with the Bandung City Government to collaborate in the future.

"In accordance with our tagline: Happy Youth. Talking about joy is not fun, but true joy is to make other people happy as much as possible," he said.

"Hopefully this spirit can be the basis for us to move forward and the course of development in the city of Bandung," he added.

He also explained that there were several factors in determining the peak of the Branch Deliberation (Muscab) in August whose series began in June.

"June is the month of the reverberation of Pancasila and August is the month of Indonesia's independence. We hope that the spirit of nationalism from our predecessors can help us guard and follow the spirit of sacrifice," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive, Hendra Herdiansyah said, one of the activities from the highlight of today's event was the MSME Gebyar and vaccines. The goal is to help the City Government to increase economic acceleration and vaccination.

"There were 230 MSMEs who registered to take part in this activity. After being curated, 50 MSMEs were selected to fill the bazaar activities at the peak event of Bandung Lautan Merah Putih. These MSMEs will be assisted by the Bandung City KNPI," admitted Hendra. (din)**
