Persib Cup U-13 Competition, Yana: Coaching Needs Consistency
A total of 34 teams took part in the PSSI Bandung City Association Persib Cup U-13 Competition (Askot) in Lapang Lodaya, Saturday 3 September 2022. According to the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, the tournament, which was participated by 34 teams from 36 Askot PSSI clubs in Bandung, was part of the development of early childhood players.
"Hopefully, with its consistency, the competition will produce seeds of outstanding players," Yana explained in Lapang Lodaya, Saturday, September 3, 2022.
However, Yana asked that early childhood development can also take advantage of "sport science".
Sport Science is a systematic and structured sport phenomenon that is built through a scientific research process. As a separate discipline, the scope of sports science research can be based on various studies.
"Because football has become an industry. I entrust it so that sport science has entered. So that the children at soccer school have a training load according to their age. Otherwise, it has the potential to get injured," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of PSSI's Askot Bandung City, Laga Sudarmadi admitted, there are a number of things that need to be improved in early childhood soccer coaching. One of them is human resources.
"After the direction of the general chairman of PSSI, he gave a message to PSSI Bandung City, namely that human resource development must be increased, and competition must be increased," he said.
"Alhamdulillah, all colleagues helped. The legends, Robby Darwis, Ajat Sudradjat all gave encouragement to the PSSI management to work real together," added Laga.
Support was also given by a member of the Bandung City DPRD, Muhammad Al Haddad. According to him, this activity brings enthusiasm to the children to keep practicing every competition.
"I'm sure this activity will bring enthusiasm to the children. This activity also includes the coaching age," he said.(yan)**
