Bakmi Pelita 2: Delicious and Legendary Halal Hidden Gem Noodles
Noodles are one of the processed noodles that are liked by many people. This food is one that was popularized by Chinese traders to Indonesia.
The city of Bandung, of course, has a lot of noodle shops in each area, one of which is Bakmi Pelita 2, which has been around since 1988.
Initially located in Pagarsih, then in 1998 the owner moved to the Surapati area, precisely at Gang Pelita II No.3 and changed its name to Bakmi Pelita 2.
The founder of this Bakmi shop is Mrs. Lie Ngiun Tjie. Currently it is managed by the second generation, namely Erik. The name Pelita 2 itself is inspired by the name of the Gang where they sell.
“Many think that this is the second branch. But actually not. So here is Gang Pelita I, II, III. So, so that people don't get confused, it's called Bakmi Pelita 2, the same as the name of the alley here," explained Erik.
The thing that distinguishes Bakmi Pelita 2 from other noodle shops is that the noodles are still made in the traditional way.
“The way to make it is simple. First we mix flour, eggs, and so on. And the second stage is funny, so the dough that is still rough is kept on the table, then there is a long bamboo, later someone will ride the bamboo like riding a horse, then flatten it out," he said.
"Well, this is very traditional and rare, because I'm really tired. And for the noodles it can produce at most 13-15 kg per day," added Erik.
One of Bakmi Pelita 2's loyal customers, Iyo admits that it is delicious.
“The noodle texture is delicious. It's different from other noodle shops, that's why I keep buying here,” Iyo admitted.
