Hundreds of People Pray Together for the City of Bandung

This time, 370 people were hybridly involved in the Joint Prayer at the Bandung City Hall, Friday, September 23, 2022.

The participants came from the Diniyah Takmiliyah Communication Forum (FKDT), Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK), Ta'limul Qur'an lil Aulad (TQA), and other da'wah institutions.

In this event, Bandung City Government and Welfare Assistant, Asep Saeful Gufron said, prayer is one of the efforts that need to be done in addition to other efforts that have been carried out.

"Praying is a medium to convey wishes and efforts to achieve goals through a request to the creator," said Asep.

According to him, various tests that have hit the people of Bandung in recent times, such as covid and the global recession, can be overcome by increasing their piety to Allah SWT.

"Although we have tried to overcome the existing problems, but we must also make religious efforts with prayer and trust," he said.

"Because as promised by Allah, pray to Me, I will surely grant it," he added.

He hopes that these strengths and abilities will become spiritual capital in overcoming existing social problems leading to a better life.

"Hopefully the prayers that are said become part of our spiritual efforts to bring goodness closer to our own individuals and the people of Bandung City," he hoped.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the MUI for the City of Bandung, Miftah Faridl, was also present. He advised, in commemorating this HJKB, it is important for all elements to build a good society in accordance with the message of the Prophet SAW.

"Connect the ties of brotherhood with those who cut ties of kinship with us. Forgive them for making mistakes to us. And help those who never want to help us," said Miftah.

Not only the Joint Prayer, several series of HJKB activities that have taken place, among others, are pilgrimages to the tombs of the ancestors of the former leaders of the city of Bandung.

Pilgrimages were made to the tomb sites of Dalem Kaum, Karang Anyar, Dayeuh Kolot, Bandung Regency, and Gordah Tomb, Garut Regency.

Then, on September 23, 2022, at 09.00 WIB, as a sign of gratitude, the Bandung City Government has also distributed 2,655 basic food packages to 51 children's orphanages, 8 elderly homes, Balong Gede people, and PLWHA through the Bandung Sharing event.

Then continued with the Prayer Together which is expected to be the best prayer for the city of Bandung.

Hopefully the city of Bandung will be more advanced, superior, prosperous, comfortable, and religious. (din)**
