Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Bandung, Ema Sumarna dalam rapat evaluasi BIAN di Balai Kota Bandung, Senin, 26 September 2022.

"We have to increase the scope of services in this BIAN. All targets are from toddlers in anticipation of diphtheria, measles, and rubella so that there are no additions. This is our joint preventive effort," said Ema.

For this reason, he appealed to all posyandu to maximize the remaining days in September. Including the puskesmas is also actively coordinating with regional parties.

Moreover, the city of Bandung has 80 health centers in 30 sub-districts. In fact, each RW has more than one posyandu service.

"Mosques are also our partners to make announcements related to BIAN services. All lines closest to the community must mobilize all the potential in their respective work areas. Do door to door for socialization," he urged.

He also emphasized to keep updating BIAN data in Bandung City as a reference in optimizing vaccination.

"Updated data is also considered. Pursue the area with the lowest BIAN number," he directed.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Bandung City Health Office (Dinkes), Anhar Hadian, said that until now there are less than 40 percent left towards the BIAN target.

"In this BIAN, the indicator is the rubella measles vaccine. Because the target is all toddlers aged 5-59 months regardless of immunization status," said Anhar.

He added that of the 30 sub-districts in Bandung City, there were 18 sub-districts whose percentage was above the average. One of them is Cibiru which has touched 81.2 percent.

Meanwhile, the highest health center is in Jatihandap Health Center, Mandalajati District. The coverage has reached 95.83 percent.

"The coverage that must be achieved for rubella is 95 percent. Jatihandap has exceeded it. Meanwhile, Cibiru and Cijerah are approaching 90 percent," he explained.

He added that several steps will be taken by the Health Office, among others, coordinating with hospitals, clinics, independent pediatricians, and midwives.
