Throughout 2022, 134 fires occurred, residents are advised to be vigilant
One of the disasters that still often occurs in the city of Bandung is fire. Throughout 2022 to 28 September 2022, there have been 134 fire cases.
Regarding this, the Head of the Bandung City Fire and Disaster Management Agency (Diskar PB), Gun Gun Sumaryana, appealed to residents to be more careful about fires.
A number of fires occurred in the residence. The causes are stoves, excessive electrical loads, and cigarette butts.
"It is undeniable that there will be panic. However, with massive socialization, it can be informed so that we know how to handle it," he said at the Bandung City Hall, Thursday, September 29, 2022.
Gun Gun even claimed to have disseminated disaster mitigation to the student level.
Gun Gun ensures that disasters are unpredictable. Therefore it is necessary to collaborate with all elements of society, including risk reduction forums.
"Now we are re-mapping, collaborating with disaster risk reduction forums. Dikar PB is trying to collaborate with all existing elements," he said.
"Diskar PB is on standby with 90 personnel on standby 24 hours," he added.
