“Digitalization needs infrastructure. And good infrastructure will make it easier for us. We at Diskominfo Bandung are ready to facilitate this. This includes good rules," said Head of the Communications Service Yayan Ahmad Brilyana at the HUB.ID #Startwithnetwork networking session with local governments, the private sector, and the ecosystem.

This event was held by the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) at the Courtyad Marriot Hotel, Jalan Ir. H Juanda Bandung, Tuesday 1 November 2022..

Yayan ensured that the Bandung City Government was committed to accelerating the development of startups. This includes collaborating with startups, governments, and corporations.

"Collaboration is very important and strategic. In the city of Bandung there is Badami (Bandung Discussion Monitoring and Innovation) as a collaborative forum for all groups to discuss various problems and solutions," he said.

He revealed, there are a number of problems that are being faced by the City Government (Pemkot) Bandung. These include data management, street vendors, garbage, traffic, economy, and various other things.

This could be an opportunity for startups to help solve it by collaborating with the Government.

"Please, help us. We really open up opportunities to jointly solve problems. With the discussion, the perspective of 8 cardinal directions will emerge so that this problem will be resolved more quickly," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Matchmaking Business Facilitation team, Luat Sihombing said HUB.ID Accelerator is a program of the Ministry of Communication and Information to accelerate Digital Startups.

"This year, 24 digital startups were selected and rigorously accurate that already have products with validated transactions and businesses. With all technological innovations and business models, it is hoped that they can meet the innovation needs of various stakeholders," he said.

According to Luat, the networking agenda is very useful for promoting national startups to expand the market, as well as collaboration with local governments.

"Bandung is the last host city. Previously, Hub.ID accelerator held networking session events in Surabaya, Denpasar, Makassar, Medan," Luat explained.

To note, the HUB.ID Accelerator Program has succeeded in creating 30 new business partnerships for digital startups in 2021, including with BUMD, BUMN, private corporations, and the government.
This achievement was obtained by the following up business matchmaking process which is continuously carried out by the HUB.ID team with digital startups.
