Creative! PKK Builds Posyandu Cadres in Bandung City Through Smart Care

There is something else from coaching posyandu cadres this time. Activities that are usually carried out from one posyandu to another, have now changed to a scheme of scrutiny.

Ketua TP PKK Kota Bandung, Yunimar Yana Mulyana, Memberikan Piala Serta Hadiah Pada Pemenang Lomba Cerdas Cermat Kader Posyandu se-Kota Bandung Tahun 2022, Selasa 1 November 2022.

After going through a month-long selection, from 30 sub-districts, 6 sub-districts were selected to enter the Bandung-wide Posyandu Cadre Smart Competition, Tuesday 1 November 2022.

The sub-districts that passed included Andir, Cibiru, Batununggal, Antapani, Bandung Kidul, and Cicendo.

Head of the Bandung City PKK TP, Yunimar Mulyana said that this activity was a fresh innovation made by Pokja 4.

"Usually we go directly to the posyandu-posyandu. But now we want to test whether the cadres understand the posyandu science and knowledge," said Yunimar at the Graha Binagkit Building, Jalan Sukabumi.

He added that this is the first time such coaching has been carried out in Bandung City Posyandu cadres. Through this activity, he claimed to be able to see the extent of understanding of the cadres regarding the various programs in the posyandu.

"Hopefully with this competition they will continue to learn. Not only during the competition, but in the future they will also continue to read and learn," he said.

"So what we convey from the Bandung City PKK, through its cadres, can reach the community. That's the goal," added Yunimar.

After competing for two hours, the final scores obtained by each sub-district team are as follows:

Team A: Andir got 530.
Team B: Cibiru got 225.
Team C: Batununggal gets 640.
Team D: Antapani gains 600.
Team E: Bandung Kidul got 650.
Team F: Cicendo got 190.

So, Bandung Kidul was chosen as the 1st place, followed by Batununggal as the 2nd place, then Antapani as the 3rd place.

Each team received prizes in the form of cash savings from Bank BJB as much as:
1st Place: IDR 2,250,000
2nd Place: IDR 1,950,000
3rd Place: IDR 1,650,000
1st Runner Up: Rp1,350,000
2nd Runner Up: Rp1.050.000
3rd Runner Up: IDR 750.000

After the presentation of prizes, trophies, and certificates, the assistant of Posyandu Champion (PPJ) Bandung Kidul District, Adelia Komalasari explained that the preparations her team did were very short.

"We only make preparations twice in September. Every Saturday we gather, study together, while drinking (eating together). We are more together, sitting together, and chatting," said Adelia.

He also advised his team not to feel tense and pressured. Everyone should enjoy learning about posyandu knowledge.

"We are progressing in this activity with enjoyment. Refreshing for materials about posyandu. I'm sure these women have been posyandu cadres for a long time, must have understood very well," he admitted.

The three participants of the Bandung Kidul posyandu team, namely Sri Hidayati, Titin Fuadah, and Yeti Herawati, have joined posyandu cadres 12 years ago.

Like Yeti, since 2010 he has been involved in posyandu activities. So that for him there are no difficult questions as long as he passes the quiz competition this morning.

"Actually, there are no questions that are too difficult. We were fooled by the number of questions because we didn't listen carefully. And we were also not fast enough in some questions during the contest," said Yeti.

For him, the development of posyandu cadres with a smart scheme like this can remind him of the role and function of posyandu cadres. Especially after two years, the posyandu was vacuumed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This competition also adds insight. We want to provide other solutions for mothers in improving our performance," he said.

Not only that, he also hopes that with the revival of posyandu activities ahead of the post-Covid-19 pandemic, it can improve the nutritional status of children in the city of Bandung.

"In addition, we can also focus more and work together again to improve the nutritional status of children in our respective areas. And hopefully it can add to the value of our worship in helping neighbors," he hoped. (din)**
