"Despite the disaster, the function of Bappelitbang continues. Today I have a meeting to discuss the RAPBD," he said at Bandung City Hall, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

For the temporary building, Ema is still waiting for the decision of the Mayor of Bandung regarding its location. However, in the meantime, it will be transferred to the former official residence of the Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD on Jalan Tamansari.

"Gradually, if Bappelitbang (office) waits for the mayor's direction. Is it in Tamansari or renting a building. This is still being sought. Even earlier, the governor offered the West Java Provincial Government assets to be used. I will report to the mayor," he said.

Ema said that the total employees of Bappelitbang were 100 people. Of that number, 83 are ASN.

As for the renovation, Ema hopes that it will be as soon as possible and for the budget to use the Unexpected Expenditure (BTT) funds.

"If the renovation has to go to the contractor, I don't understand, our version will be completed as soon as possible. As soon as repairs are carried out, we will immediately. God willing, there will be funds, BTT funds (Unexpected Costs)," he said.

Ema said that the Bappelitbang office that was burned down was not part of a heritage building. Only the shape adjusts to resemble a heritage building.

Regarding the fire, Ema stated that the police were still investigating.

"The police are currently in the process of investigating," he said.

Meanwhile, the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, took the time to inspect the location of the fire at Bandung City Hall.

On behalf of the West Java Provincial Government personally, he expressed his concern.

"This is the capital city, close to daily life with Gedung Sate. I am also a former mayor in charge of moving Bapelitbang, Bandung Planning Gallery, as well as historical parks," said Emil, his nickname.

Emil said that in order to keep public services running, Bappelitbang could also maximize Work From Home (WFH).

"Public services should not be stopped, they will. If possible, WFH will maximize it," he said.

Emil also said that there were assets of the West Java provincial government that could be used for a temporary place.

"There are several provincial government assets in the city of Bandung that can be used, please. The most important thing is that the activities are not disturbed," he said.

He also appreciated the professional performance of Diskar PB in carrying out its duties to extinguish the fire.

"Alhamdulillah, the 1.5 hour professional (execution of tasks) has been extinguished. This is a professional performance of the Bandung City Diskar, which is extraordinary," he explained.(yan)**
