The Head of Infrastructure for the Bandung Transportation Agency, Panji Kharismadi said that the total construction of PJU and PJL in 2023 will be carried out at 475 points (PJU) and 3,059 points (PJL).

"PJL (in Musrenbang) 3,059 points and PJU (in Musrenbang) 475 points. While PJL (in recess) 3,597 PJU points (in recess) 230 points," said Panji to Bandung City Public Relations.

For information, on Monday, January 16 2023, several PJUs and PJLs were repaired and added. Among others along Jl. Bengawan (from Shabu Hachi towards Jl. Ahmad Yani) with complaints that many PJUs are out.

Then on Jalan Anggrek (from the Jl. Supratman intersection to the Jl. Riau intersection) it was replaced with a 100 watt moradon

Furthermore, in RW 01 Jalan Mangga and Jalan Cidurian with complaints that PJL went out. And also on Jalan Samiaji (behind the Ujungberung market) with complaints handling 4 points of PJL outages.

Panji explained that efforts to improve PJU and PJL include replacing lamps that no longer emit optimal light, network maintenance, and replacing conventional lamps that consume a lot of power with LED lamps that are energy efficient but emit brighter light.

On the other hand, Panji also said that the Bandung City Government would continue to coordinate with the West Java Provincial Government regarding street lighting facilities on roads with national or provincial road status.

"Please note, APJ (Street Lighting Equipment) will only be managed by the Transportation Agency in 2022. For repairs, we will always help," he said.

Panji reminded, adding and repairing PJU and PJL for Bandung Caang Baranang asked for the active participation of the Bandung City community to jointly maintain street lighting equipment in the City of Bandung.

"You can report or ask if there are parties outside the Transportation Agency who have tampered with street lighting and by reporting APJ disturbances in the city of Bandung," he advised.

He also advised, if there are residents who find PJU or PJL lights that are off, they are expected to report them to the Bandung City Transportation Agency, via the Instagram account @dishubkotabdg or @bidprashubkotabdg. (ray)**
