The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said that this year his party would be more focused on completing the 2018-2023 RPJMD targets. Including political promises where the emphasis is on infrastructure.

"One of them is that we continue to try to deal with flood points. We continue to try to overcome them through retention ponds and recharge wells," said Yana after the Bandung Responding program, Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

In this regard, the Head of the Bandung City Water Resources and Highways Service (SDABM), Didi Ruswandi explained, the total budget for handling floods was nearly IDR 300 billion.

"That includes the clan development and water resources," said Didi.

He revealed that one of the relatively large development plans in 2023 is retention ponds in four locations. First, the construction of a retention pond at the Margahayu Raya Complex.

"We hope that (the retention pond) can resolve the flooding around the Islamic boarding school in Ciwastra," he said.

While the other three are in Leuwipanjang Market, Pasirkoja, and Rancabolang.

"We are building a self-managed retention pond parallel to the toll road in Rancabolang. We are increasing the size," added Didi.

Apart from the retention pond, his party is also building a pump house in Cibaduyut. Currently, the status is at the contract stage with the auction winner. He hopes that through this pump house, he can deal with flooding in Cibaduyut. (din)**
