The city of Bandung is included in the category of a metropolitan city with a population of more than 1 million. Bandung City is the city with the highest Indelix score, followed by Yogyakarta, Bekasi, South Jakarta Administrative City, and Depok City.

The Indelix Study was the brainchild of Lazada Indonesia (Lazada) together with Kompas Research and Development and supported by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. This study discusses the mapping and potential of the digital economy in Indonesia at the city and district levels.

In response to this, the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said that the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) continues to strive for digitalization innovations.

"Alhamdulillah, we have gained trust from the results of the Indelix 2022 study. This shows that all the efforts we have made together can be felt by all parties in the industrial era 4.0, which is now heading to 5.0," said Yana.

He hopes that by optimizing digital programs supported by the Bandung City Government, he can improve the people's economy in the post-Covid-19 period.

"We also provide e-catalogs for MSME business actors. Then, we also continue to maximize digital payments with QRIS, to make services easier for the community. Hopefully, together we can revive the economy in the city of Bandung from what has been good to even better. ," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Lazada Indonesia Executive Director, Ferry Kusnowo said, the digital economy is the backbone of Indonesia's economic growth. Meanwhile, equal distribution of literacy and digital transformation is one of the keys to accelerating economic growth.

This digital literacy index mapping aims to understand the level of digital economy literacy in various regions and can be a reference for stakeholders. So that the government is able to develop an inclusive and equitable digital economic ecosystem throughout Indonesia.

"This study is one form of our contribution in efforts to accelerate the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia," said Ferry in a press release, Sunday, January 29, 2023.

The Indelix study, which was conducted from May to October 2022, involved 514 cities and regencies in Indonesia.

The study refers to the five dimensions of the Toolkit For Measuring the Digital Economy parameters that were launched by the 2018 Argentina G20 Presidency, namely infrastructure, community empowerment, adoption of innovation and technology, job creation, and economic growth.

This study also develops the toolkit by adding an e-Commerce dimension. Given that e-Commerce is the main driver of Indonesia's digital economy.

In fact, to complete the analysis in this study, Kompas Research and Development also conducted face-to-face quantitative surveys in nine cities and nine districts with a total of 1,200 respondents.

From the results of the survey it was also concluded that several regions have good potential for digital development. However, regions with low index scores from the results of this study need to prioritize their digital development so that they are not further left behind by other regions. (din)**
