This time the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) with the Caring Chinese Community carried out a booster vaccination activity at the Priangan Social Fund Foundation Office, Jalan Nana Rohana, Monday 13 February 2023.

"Today is the mass vaccination activity for the 2nd booster or 4th dose. The target is 1,300, hopefully this will speed up our efforts to increase the number of people who are given the vaccine," said Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana.

Yana said the Covid-19 pandemic in the city of Bandung was relatively under control. This can be seen from the positivity rate as well as the Bad Occupancy Rate (BOR).

"Although the achievement of the increase is rather slow, maybe because people think this pandemic has become endemic. Even so, based on the indicator, there are no more than 10 cases. For a positivity rate of 1.52 percent, we also reduce the availability of BOR by 5-6 percent, already very controlled," said Yana.

For this reason, Yana invited the public to carry out vaccinations, because this is for the common good.

"Actually, this declining indicator is the vaccination process. We encourage people to follow the vaccine. This is also in the interest of many people," he said.

When asked about paid boosters, Yana emphasized that the Bandung City Government follows regulations from the central government.

"We follow central government regulations," he said.

In the same place, Representative of the Caring Chinese Community, Joni Toat, said that he would try to help the Bandung City Government organize a second booster vaccine.

"Today we are holding a second booster vaccine. First in December for the elderly, now for 18 years and over. We are providing 1,300 doses with good enthusiasm," he explained.

He explained that this activity was well organized in cooperation with the government, the National Police and the Indonesian Armed Forces.

"The current type of vaccine is Pfizer. In March 2021, we will also carry out vaccinations with hundreds of thousands of doses," he explained.

Joni revealed that he would hold it again next week at a different place.

"Next week, February 20, we will hold it in another location," he said. (yan)**
