"One of them is handling street vendors in Tegalega, Regol. We have been there twice accompanied by several related OPDs to coordinate with the street vendor coordinators," said Ema.

According to him, there are things that must be observed in relation to the street vendor conservation area, one of which is adjusting the regulation of street vendors according to their characteristics.

"There are three typical street vendors. First, in terms of quantity. Then the type of stalls. Third, the time of arrival," he said.

In terms of numbers, there are 207 street vendors who are active in the morning in the eastern region (Jalan Moh. Toha). Meanwhile, street vendors in the western region (Jalan Otto Iskandar Dinata) totaled 257 stalls.

"Make sure that street vendors don't increase but must decrease. The thing that must be anticipated, if you hear about the control, usually these street vendors actually increase," he said.

Apart from that, street vendors who build their stalls permanently also need to be disciplined. Street vendors selling on Sundays are also not allowed outside the area.

"There are more than 1,100 street vendors selling on Sunday. I have ordered DSDABM to immediately arrange the sidewalks around Tegallega. Plotting per cluster of officers as well," he said.

For the concept, Ema said, a design has been made and will be discussed further.

In addition, Ema added, anticipating economic activities in the form of bazaars in the month of Ramadan will not be permitted to any party. Especially in the Alun-alun area, Jalan Soekarno, Kepatihan, Dalem Kaum, and Braga Short.

"There should be no bazaar activities, we don't allow them. Hopefully we can make a strong commitment under any pressure," he stressed.

Apart from street vendors, illegal parking and forest walks will also be addressed. The Bandung City Government will make the Braga area free from parking. Meanwhile, forest walks in the Elderly Park, Pet Park, Kandaga Puspa, and Maluku Park will be illuminated with decorative lights.

Responding to this, the Head of the Cipta Karya, Construction Development and Spatial Planning (Ciptabintar) Office, Bambang Suhari explained, out of 207 street vendors in the eastern region of Tegallega, 185 will be facilitated by portable carts with several designs that have been planned.

"We will make the rest in the western region. We will also group the street vendors based on their sales or product category," said Bambang. (din)**
