Hangzhou Will Be the Fourth Sister City of Bandung City from China

The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said that currently the City of Bandung already has three sister cities from China.

"But we hope that this (Hangzhou) can become the fourth city to establish a sister city with the city of Bandung," said Yana.

He explained, the city of Bandung has an advantage in creative human resources (HR). Not only that, the advantages of the city of Bandung are also found in the tourism sector and MSME products.

"We don't have natural resources, but we have creative human resources. So that 2012 was named a creative city by UNESCO. In addition, tourism services are an advantage for the city of Bandung, including the MSME entrepreneur sector," he said.

In addition, the city of Bandung also has the most and the best tertiary institutions in a city in Indonesia, which is one of the added values of this city.

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Hangzhou, Ke Jixin said, the purpose of his visit to the city of Bandung was to convey the investment climate in Hangzhou. So that it can open investment invitations and others.

"We feel that Hangzhou also has values similar to Bandung, namely being creative and innovative. Therefore, we are following up on Hangzhou as the fourth sister city of Bandung City from China," said Jixin.

He admitted that in the past this collaboration had been initiated, but was interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"So now it would be better if we could start all over again. We will speed up the process of this collaboration before September 2023," he said.
