HDI Rise, Unemployment Rate Decrease, Bandung City Government "Gakan" 2024 Musrenbang
The human development index (IPM) in 2022 in the city of Bandung will increase by 0.54 points from 2021. From 81.6 points it will increase to 82.52 points. Not only that, the unemployment rate has also decreased.
This was conveyed by the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana in the 2024 RKPD Development Plan Meeting (Musrenbang), Wednesday 15 March 2023 at the HARRIS Hotel Festival Citylink.
"The percentage of the poverty rate in the city of Bandung has also decreased. In 2021 it will be at 4.37 percent to 4.25 percent in 2022," he said.
The open unemployment rate in the city of Bandung has also decreased from 11.45 percent in 2021 to 9.55 percent in 2022.
"Then, economic growth in the city of Bandung in 2022 will reach 5.41 percent, a high increase compared to 2021 which was 3.76 percent," he continued.
In this musrenbang, Yana hopes that it will become an endeavor to agree on issues, harmonize and clarify activities originating from village and sub-district musrenbang.
"Hopefully the aspirations that have been captured from the start are truly aspirational, participatory, and accommodative as the hopes of all the people of the city of Bandung," said Yana.
This is because, according to him, planning, controlling and evaluating regional development plans must be in accordance with the objectives of improving people's welfare.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bappelitbang Bandung City, Anton Sunarwibowo said, this musrenbang is one of the stages of preparing the 2024 RKPD based on Law Number 25 of 2004 concerning the national development planning system.
"We have carried out a series of stages, starting from the Citizens' Consultation, the initial stage of compiling the RW scope on January 9-18 2023. Then the village-level musrenbang on January 23-29 2023," explained Anton.
Then the sub-district musrenbang which was held on February 1-14 2023. Followed by regional apparatus forums on March 27-10 2023. After that, a combined regional apparatus forum on March 14 2023.
"This Musrenbang was attended by 400 participants from DPRD, regional apparatus, Forkopimda, and other stakeholders," he added.
Responding to this, the Chairperson of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan said, suggestions obtained from the community had been accommodated through recess.
According to him, 2024 is a transitional period, so programs will be prepared with due regard to long-term development plans.
"Although there are things that are still difficult for us to fulfill, namely the provision of green open spaces (RTH). Then, in an effort to reduce the unemployment rate, we should increase business development-oriented training and increase job fairs, especially for people with disabilities," hoped Tedy. (din)**
