"There is progress for improvements, especially greening. Various types of plants have also been planted," explained Bandung City Regional Secretary Ema Sumarna while monitoring a number of parks, Friday 17 March 2023.

Some of the parks reviewed by Ema include Kandagapuspa Park, Elderly Park, and several parks in the Jalan Cilaki area. He also said that the parks in the city of Bandung are currently in good and well-maintained condition.

In addition to the problem of trees, Ema asked that the lighting in all parks be maximized, so that these parks are not only used during the day but can also be enjoyed at night.

"In several parks, we thought of making a kind of sky walk, like in Babakan Siliwangi. So that people feel comfortable and can do activities such as sports there," he said.

Ema said the existence of a park in the city of Bandung was a gift. According to him, the presence of parks like this may not be found in big cities or other metropolitan cities.

“For the size of a large city, this is clearly extraordinary. It's just that we really need to pay more attention so that comfort in these parks is also maintained," he said.

Ema explained that the maintenance of parks in the city of Bandung, including the construction of infrastructure such as sky walks, would all be carried out in stages.

He hopes that every week there will be developments from the optimization plan for these parks. So that the park becomes more friendly and comfortable for visitors.

"So that people not only get enough oxygen, but also feel comfortable. And the function of the city park is back as it should be," said Ema. (ray)**
