Yana: Mosques Must Be Centers for Community Activities

This was stated by Yana while attending a thanksgiving and gathering for the residents of the Margahayu Raya Complex in order to welcome Ramadan which was coupled with a Friday Tour at the Amani Mosque, Rancasari District, Friday 17 March 2023.

Yana hopes that the mosque can become a center for religious activities in the area. This is to support Bandung Religion.

"Alhamdulillah it's extraordinary, I hope that this will become a religious center in this region to create a religious Bandung," he said.

On that occasion, Yana appreciated the residents who wanted to donate their land for a place of worship. The mosque was built on waqf land belonging to a resident named, Aman Suparman.

He also said that the Bandung City Government would assist with all the certification processes for the land for the place of worship.

Meanwhile, Aman Suparman, the Wakif or the resident who donated his land to the Amani Mosque was grateful for the presence and support of the Mayor of Bandung for the implementation of religious activities in his environment.

"Alhamdulillah, as a citizen of the city of Bandung, I feel happy, to be able to see and support community activities, especially religious activities," he said.

He said the presence of the mosque would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship among the people.

"This community activity, especially in religion and in welcoming the month of Ramadan, we can continue to increase," he said.

"Thank you, the mayor of Bandung for coming. If there are religious activities, we will maximize them at this mosque," he added. (rob)**
