Inauguration of PWRI OPI Regional Secretariat of Bandung City, Ema: Pensioners Must Be An Example for Society
Regional Secretary for the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna said that retired Indonesian Wredatama Association (PWRI) must be a good example in social life.
This was stated by Ema when inaugurating the Management of PWRI and Wredatama Women's Harmony (Kerta) Retired Agencies Organization (OPI) of the Bandung City Regional Secretariat for the 2023-2028 Service Period at the Rosada Auditorium, Friday 17 March 2023.
"PWRI must set a good example for the community. Continue to improve the quality of our lives. Build friendships and contribute thoughts," said Ema, who is also the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of PWRI OPI, Bandung City Secretariat.
Ema congratulated and thanked the previous management of PWRI and Kerta and thanked the new management led by Dadang Iriana.
"I believe you will carry out your duties as well as possible in accordance with the responsibilities given," he said.
He said there was no reason not to glorify retirees.
"Retirement is a sure thing. So there's no room for low self-esteem in retirement. I'm proud of healthy and enthusiastic retirees," he said.
Furthermore, Ema encouraged PWRI to immediately form an OPI in every OPD, sub-district and sub-district.
"We have to think about the formation of OPI in every OPD, sub-district and urban village, this is very extraordinary because later the organizational ties will be established," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Bandung City PWRI, Tatang Sunarja said, later, all Institutional Services must be formed by the OPI PWRI. This is the result of the PWRI national meeting.
He also explained the benefits of participating in PWRI, namely friendship, closer family ties and lots of smiles and laughter with recreation.
"Thank you for all the facilities provided to PWRI. Age may be old, enthusiasm remains young," he said.
In the same place, the Chairperson of the PWRI OPI Bandung City Secretariat for the 2023-2028 Service period, Dadang Iriana said, his dedication to PWRI was driven by love for the organization.
