Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, said that if it was found that there were no indications of a criminal element in the incident, the police line would immediately be opened.

"Hopefully the police lines can be quickly removed so that cleaning and repairs can be carried out immediately. Because now the KBM process is being disrupted," said Ema, Monday 18 September 2023.

According to him, even though currently students are still learning online. However, in conditions like this normally lessons are carried out face to face.

"There are 64 students affected. Because there are 32 students in each class," he said.

He said the funds needed to repair the school were around IDR 400 million. The funds are planned to be taken from the budget of the Bandung City Education Department (Disdik).

"Like the fire incident at Gambir school yesterday. This was also funded purely by the Education Department. Even if not, emergencies can be handled with unexpected costs (BTT)," he said. (din)**
