Braga Famous Held, Traffic in Bandung City Center Runs Smoothly
Head of the Bandung Police Traffic Unit, AKBP Eko Iskandar, revealed that during the implementation of Braga Beken, aka Vehicle-Free Braga, traffic in the central area of Bandung city ran normally.
"Meanwhile, today we see that Jalan Naripan is running smoothly. The closure of Braga Panjang will certainly have a positive impact," he said on Jalan Braga, Saturday 4 May 2024.
"We are anticipating Jalan Tamblong - Lembong and Jalan Sunda, because these vehicles affect two points on these roads," he said.
Regarding traffic management, Eko admitted that he had prepared anticipation in case of congestion.
"We have prepared several engineering schemes that are situational in nature. If necessary, diversions or closures will be carried out. Because the typical structure of the road network in the city of Bandung is short and branching," he explained.
According to him, road engineering will only be carried out if it is deemed necessary. The reason is that road engineering is not necessarily a solution to congestion problems.
