As is known, the Department of Trade and Industry (Disdagin) together with the Bandung City Dekranasda initiated the 2024 Bandung Week Market activities at Beachwalk Shopping Center, Bali, 7-12 May 2024.

At this event, Bandung Week Market presented 20 business actors from Bandung City with various product categories including Fashion Products, Fashion Accessories, Culinary (Packaged Food and Drinks) and Home Décor Products. Apart from that, there were also 2 Badung Regency MSME tenants who took part in this event.

"We believe that the Bandung Week Market is an effective policy choice to deliver local MSME products, to be upgraded to a national scale and ultimately exported to other countries," said Hikmat.

On the other hand, Hikmat said that the Beachwalk Shopping Center, which is located in Badung Regency, Bali, was used as a place to showcase Bandung City MSME products because of good cooperation between regional governments, with the creative capital they both have.

"Badung Regency was chosen as the showcase for our local products because the Bandung City Government and Badung Regency Government have had good cooperation for a long time. Badung is an export hub for the City of Bandung," said Hikmat.

He hopes that the Bandung Week Market can open wider opportunities for local business actors in the city of Bandung to market their products to international markets.

"We invite all residents of Badung Regency, especially the people of Bali, to come visit the Bandung Week Market 2024. Before traveling to Bandung City, there's no harm in the residents here getting to know Bandung City's local products first," said Hikmat.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Badung Regency Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade, I Made Widiana, expressed his gratitude to the Bandung City Government for choosing the Bali area as the destination for the 2024 edition of the Bandung Week Market. He hopes that this activity can continue.

Apart from that, Widiana said that next year her party plans to hold the same event in Bandung City.

"We have scheduled 20 MSMEs (to hold a similar event). Hopefully we can open an event in Bandung City," he said.

On this occasion, Eko, who is one of the MSME owners participating in the Bandung Week Market, was very happy to be chosen to represent the City of Bandung at this event. The owner of the Cikopi Mang Eko brand, which sells coffee products typical of the city of Bandung, also admits that he is optimistic that his products will be popular with people around Bali.

"There are also a lot of coffee lovers here. We hope that this can be a moment when our product goes up in class," he said. (ray)**
