The people of Bandung City get support from banks related to health insurance payments in the Bandung City area.

For this reason, the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS) collaborates with the Tahir Foundation (Mayapada Group) in the BPJS Health Care Innovation Funding Innovation Program (PIPMPJ) in 2022.

This is intended for Non-Wage Recipient Workers (PBPU) or Non-Workers (BP) participants who are in arrears in the Bandung City area.

For this reason, a cooperation agreement was implemented between BPJS Kesehatan and the Tahir Foundation, at the Ballroom of BPJS Head Office, Jakarta, Monday, March 21, 2022.

The cooperation agreement was attended by the Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, CO Chairman of the Tahir Forundation, Jonathan Tahir, Advisor of Mayapada Group, Suwandi and Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Ali Gufron.

The JKN Concerned Community Funding Innovation Program (PIPMPJ) is a mutual cooperation movement through the participation of the community, business entities, and other legal entities.

This is to provide financial protection by registering and paying community contributions as participants of the JKN-KIS program and for payment of dues for PBPU or independent BP participants who are in arrears.

The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, thanked Mayapada Group for their attention and participation in helping the people of Bandung City.

"This assistance is very valuable and useful for residents of Bandung City BPJS Health participants who are still in arrears because the economic situation is currently in the recovery stage," said Yana.

He explained that the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) had carried out the mandate of laws and regulations regarding the Smart Indonesia Card Health Insurance (JKN-KIS) program, by protecting its citizens through BPJS Health membership.

"As of March 2022, the achievement of JKN-KIS participation in Bandung City was 2,470,454 participants or 97.73 percent of the total population of Bandung City, which is 2.5 million people," he explained.

Not only that, Yana added that there were 209 primary-level health facilities collaborating in JKN-KIS services, 43 advanced referrals.

"We, together with stakeholders, continue to strive to increase BPJS Health participation, including through socialization and education," said Yana.

Regarding arrears, he revealed, data on PBPU participants in arrears were 246,916 participants with a total arrears of Rp 284,816 billion.

"Basically, residents already understand and understand why their health must be protected through BPJS. However, in the difficult economic situation during this pandemic, things that must be neglected can be ignored and we understand that," he said.

For this, Yana appreciated the strategic and innovative PIPMPJ BPJS Health program. Payment of BPJS participant contributions is made through a third party CSR scheme.

"We thank BPJS Health for finding the best solution for people who are currently experiencing difficulties. We hope that this pattern will continue to be maintained while of course the Bandung City Government empowers the community so that JKN participants have the ability to pay mandatory contributions so that they no longer need to be in arrears," said Yana .

He also thanked Mayapada Group for sincerely distributing its CSR funds.

"The total amount is up to IDR 2 billion, all of which will be used to pay off arrears in contributions and contributions for 1 year in advance of Non-Wage Recipients and Non-Workers in Bandung," he said.

Meanwhile, the CO Chairman of the Tahir Foundation, Jonathan Tahir explained, the main mission of the Tahir Foundation is to provide health services specifically by effectively bridging community gaps.

"As an initiative to help the BPJS program. Actually, from the first it was announced that the Mayapada group has always supported what the community needed," he said.

For this, Mayapada Group's efforts to contribute to the health of the community.

"We can help make a contribution. Today we are making a contribution to the residents," he said.

Meanwhile, the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Ali Gufron, explained that the social health insurance program is a form of concern for the provision of social security protection to the community.

"Since the presence of JKN KIS, the community has really felt it and can see its utilization. It can be seen that there are around 1.1 billion visits for JKN KIS," he said. (yes)**
